Benefit Boxed Face Powders
Benefit Boxed Face Powders
Benefit is very well known for their boxed face powder. I believe there are 11 face powders in the collection. They are Bella Bamba, Hervana, Sugarbomb, 10, Thrrob, Dallas, Coralista, Hoola, Dandelion, Georgia Peach and their newest edition Rockateur. ( Have any more to add? Just leave me a comment that I have missed one with its name!) Some of these are blushes, some are bronzer and others are brightening finishing powders. At Sephora these face powders cost $36.00 Canadian and contain 0.28 oz. Each face powder come with its own brush. Benefit also has lip gloss' that match the face powders.
These Box O Powders are so cute! Benefit did an amazing job making these products stand out among the hundreds of blushes at Sephora. Its packaging is sure to draw you in! Each powder has its own specific design and has a small mirror inside. These powders have a huge cult following (I have to include myself when I say this. I own 6 of these already!) considering the price, bulkiness and pigmentation.
I cant forget that these products smell amazing! Each have their own smell and are too die for. They smell like perfume but the scent does not linger when applied to the face. With that being said people who are sensitive to fragrances may not like this but I do think they should still try!
My favourite has to be my newest edition Rockateur! I love it because of its rose gold colouring. I don't have any blush that is similar to this one. It is also great for this fall and winter and great for the holidays. This blush pairs beautifully with practically every look and I can imagine that it would look stunning on all skintones. If I had to recommend for someone to purchase only one of these blushes, I would choose Rockateur hands down.

MAC FIX +
MAC FIX +: Everyone and their mother has heard of MAC Fix + but just in case you have been living under a rock and want in on a huge beauty secret keep on tracking.
One of MAC's best-selling products is Fix+ and it is one of my personal favourites and a staple in any artists kit or in your personal collection. This blend of ingredients is supposed to calm the skin. Sugi gives Fix+ a natural, energizing scent. Don't know what Sugi is? Well, its Japanese Maple in English. Fix+ adds natural radiance to the skin and can be used as a finishing spray.
Fix+ comes in 2 sizes, a travel size and a full size. The travel size is 30 ml and costs $12.00 Canadian. The full size is 100 ml and costs $25.00 C. This vitamin- mineral infused water also features a locking mechanism to ensure the product does not spray when not in use.
I find this product interesting because it has so many uses:
1. Spray over entire face if face appears to powdery or cakey
2. Intensify eye shadow colours
3. Add to products to change consistency
4. Spray before makeup
5. Spray after makeup
6. Spray throughout the day
You can use it if your makeup appears too powdery or cakey. If your looking cakey, spray your face a couple of times and your makeup will no longer look like it has a layer of built-up product and will look like skin again! If you want to intensify an eye shadow you can spray your brush with the eye shadow on it and pack the product onto the lid for more intensified colour. You may mix Fix+ with a gel liner, foundation and etc. to change the consistency of the product. You can also spray your face before applying makeup for some added hydration or throughout the day for an instant pick me up due to the caffeine in Fix+. You may also spray after makeup to fuse all layers of makeup together.
I personally love MAC's Fix+. I spray my face after makeup to give my skin a fresh, dewy, natural look. I also love this products scent its very calming. The product is travel friendly and mists the face evenly. What's not to love about this product?
