Too Faced Tinted BB Cream

Too Faced Tinted BB Cream

In the last few years American Cosmetic brands started releasing their version of a BB Cream. Too Faced was no exception. Too Faced's BB Cream, is called Too Faces Tinted BB Cream. It has SPF 20 and claims to be a multi-benefit cream that tints, primes and protects skin. This BB cream comes in 5 colours. These colours are Snow Glow, Vanilla Glow, Linen Glow, Crème Glow and Nude Glow. This BB Cream costs $34.00 Canadian for 1.4 oz. Too Faced says that using this product will give you both makeup and skincare benefits. There are many short-term benefits to using this product: instant moisture, light to medium coverage and sun protection. Some long term benefits of this BB Cream are anti ageing, multi mineral complex that promotes cell health, strengthens skin elasticity and enhances luminosity.

I find this product interesting because in one simple, easy step you can protect your skin from sun exposer, prime your skin before foundation application or only use this product for a light to medium coverage on those "no makeup" days. If you don't like to wear foundation or hate wearing multiple products on your skin this may be the product for you.

I like this product but I am unsure if I will purchase it again. Even though this product comes in multiple colour choices. It is still not an exact match and ends up looking ashy on my skin. If I don't mind looking ashy I totally wear this alone on days I don't want a full coverage look. I tend to use this as a primer a lot under my foundation. I don't think this products enhances the longevity of my foundation but adds a dewy look to the skin. This product does feel a bit heavy on the skin (feels like a thick sunscreen) and I can feel that I am wearing it throughout the day. This product can look shiny if used alone but if you top it with some powder you should be fine. I probably would not recommend this product to someone with an oily skin type for that reason alone. This product lasts forever. I have been using it non stop and it feels like I haven't even made a dent plus, how cute is this packaging. I swear these companies know  I am a sucker for something adorable! I really wish Too Faced would come out with a better range of undertones because I would definitely repurchase it then.

Urban Decay's Naked Foundation

Urban Decay's Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup

Urban Decay's newest foundation is Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup. ( Phewf! What a mouth full!) This foundation can be purchased at Sephora for $45.00 Canadian. Naked Skin Foundation comes in 1 oz. There are 18 colour options and the colours range from 0.5- 12. This foundation suits multiple undertones such as pink, olive, yellow and neutral. Urban Decay describes this foundations formula as a natural illuminator with a bright finish. It is formulated with light diffusing spheres which transform your skin to look professionally retouched.

I found this product interesting and worth a look because of its high ratings and claim to look airbrushed. Ratings claim that this foundation feels weightless and looks virtually invisible. This foundation has a luminous, demi- matte finish. UD says that this foundations has a medium to buildable full coverage look.

I personally enjoy this foundation. I love how this foundation comes with a pump which is very convenient and sanitary. There is a metal bead inside that helps mix foundation when shaken. For the price you get a decent amount of product. The foundation is very buildable yet still manages to feel light on the skin. I love that UD has a great range of colours and undertones that can match almost everyone. The foundation can last up to 8 hours on my skin without having to be touched up. I still have to powder to prolong the wear of this foundation but that's normal.I find for best results I find that this product should be buffed into the skin or used with a damp beauty blender for an airbrushed finish. When applied with your fingers or a "paint brush" style brush it can look streaky and uneven. This foundation can cover up my redness and acne scarring without having to heavily spot conceal.

"Coverage without compromise. Our weightless formula blurs imperfections for a flawless finish that feels invisible, but looks professionally retouched"- Urban Decay
