Benefit describes this concealer as an ultra hydrating, crease control concealer. This concealer is was made to be used under the eyes and was made with a moisturizing ring that surrounds the concealer product. The moisturizing ring is made with Vitamin E and apple seed extract. This combination helps hide dark circles and diffuse fine lines for a silky smooth, ultra natural look. Fake Up Concealer is proven to keep skin hydrated for 6 hours.

I find this product interesting based on its reviews on www.Sephora.com. People say that this product is their Holy Grail concealer for under the eyes to cover their dark circles and use it in their everyday routine. This product is supposed to offer a light to medium coverage and promises not to cake a settle into fine lines and wrinkles.

Once again Benefit Cosmetics does not disappoint on this products packaging. Its super fun, cute and appealing to the eye. And how cute is the name? So cute!

Because of the moisturizing ring, I find this product super oily. With that being said I have to set it with a powder like all concealers. Once set, I have to say I thoroughly enjoy it. Is it my HG concealer? I thinks its too soon to tell but I look forward to continue to use it. I would recommend this product for someone with dry to normal skin based on its ability to not settle/ crease into fine lines and wrinkles.

TARTE: AQUALILLIES PALETTE

TARTE: AQUALILLIES PALETTE

Tarte released its summer limited edition palette, Aqualillies, recently and I couldn't be more excited. The palette features six Amazonian clay eye shadows, a Champagne highlighter, Park Avenue Princess matte bronzer and a full sized, limited edition blush in the colour Captivating.  With its neutral shadows you can create a wearable day look which is perfect for the summer and then darken it up in the "Outer V" for a night appropriate look. Tarte claims that the products in this palette are long wearing and waterproof. For the palettes début, the Aqualillies, a synchronized swim team, preformed their routine wearing the palette to prove its waterproof capabilities.

The Palette is rounded in shape and comes with a large mirror. Tarte is known for their super cute packaging and this palette is no exception with its mermaid scale pattern. The eye shadows, bronzer and highlighter are arranged bordering the blush making it this palettes focal point. The blush is embossed with the Aqualilles logo which is displayed on the face of the palette.

As a Tarte blush collector I was super excited to see this palette and had to make an instant purchase. The fact that this palette is waterproof is amazing, especially for those hot summer days where I tend to sweat my makeup off.

In testing this product, I have to agree that it is waterproof. I didn't go swimming but I did take a quick shower and my makeup stayed put. The only slight disappointment was that the blush faded a tad. Although I wouldn't where makeup to the pool, I would be interested in seeing if this palette is sweat proof. The pigmentation is decent. You can give your lids a wash of colour or pack it on to intensify the colour.

This palette is a steal at $46.00 Canadian. The price of a Tarte blush alone is $31.00 C. So for an extra $15.00, you get six eye shadows, a bronzer and a highlight. This product is definitely a win in my books!
